I spent the last 20+ years learning and searching for the "Magic Bullet" on customer service. It took this amount of time for me to come to the realization that there IS NOT a magic bullet that one can use to improve the customer experience. However, there are key themes that keep poping up when a great customer service moment is observed. These key themes are the foundation which ultimately can create a world class customer service organization. Some of the key themes are: Make work fun, over deliver and under promise, attitude, and great recovery processes just to name a few.
